5 Days in June
June 22nd to June 26th
SALT SPRING ISLAND
An exploration of the forest inside
We [humans] have lost our relationship with our land and life itself, but it’s not too late to turn the story around. If we begin to remember our dreams and live consciously, as one member in this network of life, the story of humanity can continue.*
– Manari Ushigua, a Sapara leader
For the Sapara of the Amazon, dreaming is a privileged entrance into the ancestral knowledge. Dreaming gives you the information needed to live a balanced life. Not divided, but together. Not linear, but flowing. The Sapara live in the forest world, naku, where there is only one belonging.
For the past 10 years we have regularly journeyed to the Amazon rainforest to live and learn with the Sapara people. Today they continue to enlighten and instruct us in lasting ways.
Now the Sapara people have asked us to share their insights here in the north, as they dream of uniting our planet and ourselves.
Their practical wisdom can help us get back to balance. This is their hope, and our aim.
For 5 days in June we invite you to explore the ancestral knowledge of the Sapara, and begin to reshape our lives.

In every truly explorative search, one cannot know what one is looking for until one finds it.*
